Definition
An Equipment Connector is a connector designed for the purpose of connecting the terminal of the equipment to the conductor(s). Terminal pad (or) Round terminal stud.
Application/ Useage
Equipment Connector also called Terminal Pad Clamps are primarily intended to establish electrical connection between conductors, aluminium to aluminium or aluminium to copper or copper to copper conductors, between equipment and conductors, etc, in places like substations and generating stations.

Rated Normal Current
The rated normal current of Terminal Pad is the r.m.s value of the current which carry continuously under specified conditions of use and behaviour and can be selected from one of the following values:200 A, 400 A, 630 A, 800 A, 1000 A, 1250 A, 1600 A, 2000 A, 2500 A, 3000 A or 3150 A or as recommended by the conductor manufacturer.

- The chemical composition of aluminium and aluminium alloys used in Terminal Pad conform to designation 4600 of IS 617, AL6 of IS 617, LM6 or AlSi10Mg(a) of IS 617:2024.
- Steel bolts and nuts conform to IS 1367
- Spring washers are electro-galvanized mild steel suitable for service condition-3 as per IS 1573.
