Types and Categories
There are six classes of gloves, differing in electrical characterstics, are provided and are designated Class 00, Class 0, Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4
Six categories of gloves, differing in properties related are provided and are to acid, oil, ozone, mechanical (higher level), and a combination of all are provided and designated designated strength A, H, Z, M and R respectively 2. and for extreme low temperature, Category C.
Standard Length
The following are the standard length for each class of gloves:
- Class 00: Length- 270mm & 360mm
- Class 0: Length- 270 mm, 360 mm, 410 mm, 460 mm
- Class 1,2,3: Length- 360 mm, 410 mm and 460 mm
- Class 4: Length- 410mm and 460mm
Maximum Use Voltage with Colour
*When a colour code is used, the symbol (double triangle) shall correspond to the following code.
The maximum use voltage recommended for each class of glove is designated in the following table:
